Our client is a well-established accountancy business looking for an Audit Manager or Audit RI to join their audit team, based at their office on the outskirts of Nottingham, within easy commuting of Nottingham, Newark, Grantham and North Leicester.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role, which represents a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking to take their career to the next stage heading a growing audit practice with the opportunity to move towards partnership for the right candidate.
Working closely with the existing accounts and audit team, you will be working on:
• UK subsidiaries of groups headquartered outside the UK.
• Signing off audits
• Signing off non-audit statutory accounts
• Dealing with queries from clients.
• Working closely with the accounts and bookkeeping team
• Managing client take-on processes.
• Managing billing
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications and Experience
• Either already acting as an RI or sufficient experience to apply for RI status
• Responsible for running and growing an audit portfolio of SMEs
• Experience of auditing under FRS102 1A
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Experience of using Mercia methodology (with scope to change)
• Experience of working with paper and electronic audit files
• Experience of training and mentoring junior staff
• Experience of QAD visits
• Experience of working across teams, including accounting and bookkeeping
