Vat Manager

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Our client is a successful firm of Accountants based in fabulous offices with a great team environment. They offer flexible working hours – full/part or flexi time.
They are looking for a VAT professional to join our VAT team to handle a varied role.h
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role, which represents a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking to expand their VAT experience and to become an integral part of a growing team.
Working closely with the existing VAT team, you will assume responsibility for the VAT compliance offering for our Online Traders. This will include:
• VAT registrations and de-registrations.
• Review of VAT returns prepared by our brilliant VAT Assistants.
• EC Sales Lists and Intrastats.
• Helping with HMRC enquiries, including Online Selling Compliance Reviews.
• Dealing with queries from clients.
• Submitting Option To Tax letters to HMRC.
• Managing client take-on processes.
• Managing billing for the Online Trader portfolio.
The successful candidate will have experince of working in VAT and have strong interpersonal skills.

WORKING HOURS
The working hours are 37.5 hours (pro-rated) per week, excluding meal breaks. Family friendly working hours, which are flexible across the week, are offered.
ANNUAL LEAVE
For students 20 days per year + 8 Statutory Holidays + Study Paid + Study Leave.
36 days per annum, including Statutory Holidays once qualified.
SALARY
£27-30,000
