Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to work in their busy thriving Nottingham City centre offices.

The role will be incredibly varied and suit an accountant from a practice background who would like to work in industry.

This is a great role for someone with enthusiasm and drive.


Key responsibilities
• Preparation of service charge accounts which will involve reviewing income and expenditure, calculating prepayments and accruals, monitoring actual vs Budgeted spend and agreeing to the trial balance.
• Regular Liaison with Managers will be required to agree and finalise service charge year end accounts.
• Reviewing draft service charge accounts before finalisation.
• Recording and analysing project costs daily for a separate business.
• Ensuring the integrity of accounting records and controls in line with prevailing legislation
• Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
• Maintaining statutory registers and filing confirmation statements.
• Corporate, Personal and Partnership Tax computations
• VAT calculations and submissions
• Liaising with clients regarding their accounts, tax and other related work
• Dealing with HMRC
• Ad hoc duties as required
• Reporting to the Director and working closely with one other team member.
