Accounts Assistant

Our client is a successful well established business who offer a great working environment. The newly created role offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual experienced in accounts who has previously worked in a manufacturing environment and enjoys costing work.

• Maintaining list prices of stock for accurate stock valuation
• Assisting with costing of products and updating cost prices
• Assist with preparing the stock valuation
• Costing analysis working with and liaising with internal and external
• stakeholders
• Querying supplier invoices
• Managing repeat supplier charges
• Setting up and controlling processes for stock movements
• Monitoring stock levels to highlight overstock and slow moving items
• Researching to find opportunities to reduce costs
• Assist in the process of the month end with the Management Accountant
• Taking calls and responding to emails accordingly
• Setting up of new suppliers to ensure compliance with supply chain
• requirements
• Ordering ad hoc items
• Working with other departments to gather information
• Provide cover for the team as and when required full training will be given
• Various ad-hoc projects required by the Management Accountant/Finance
• Director
This is a full time role which is ideal for an experienced accounts person who really enjoys handling a wide variety of tasks. AAT would be helpful but not essential.
