Great role in lovely offices based on the outskirts of Nottingham.
About Role:
As a Company Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely production and completion of monthly management accounts for various divisions within the company. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and contributing to the overall financial well-being of the organization.
Responsibilities:
·Produce monthly management accounts for Construction, Windows, and other property divisions within set deadlines, including variance analysis.
·Administer the HMRC Construction Industry Scheme with monthly subcontractors, reconciling returns produced by Sage.
·Complete UK and ROI VAT/PAYE/RCT returns.
·Assist with year-end audit and liaise for a smooth year-end close.
·Conduct internal audit and internal controls.
·Supervise credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger, subcontractors, and wages ledger.
·Generate and process general ledger journals for various divisions.
·Maintain an organized documentation system for the accounting system.
·Assist finance colleagues with subcontractors, sales, contract sales, payroll, stock management, and purchase ledgers to meet deadlines.
·Review and improve the completeness of all Finance processes, contributing to the development of profitability reporting with suggestions for improvements.

This is a great role for an individual who is qualified or part-qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA or a QBE (qualified by experience) with a strong finance background.
You will have:
·Highly commercial with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
·Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft products
·Good interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships at all levels.
·Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
·Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
·Previous experience in a management accountancy role.
·Previous experience in the or construction industry highly advantageous
