Semi-Senior Accountant opportunity within an established Independent Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice offering varied responsibilities and long term career development.
An established and reputable Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice with an innovative solution-focused approach to advising SME businesses. The firm provides its clients with a broad range of Compliance and Business Advisory solutions and is experiencing growth in demand for its bespoke Cloud Accounting and Outsourced Financial Management solutions.
A Semi-Senior Accountant position has arisen which offers client-facing responsibility, involvement in all areas of general accountancy practice work and career progression to Manager level in the next few years.
Semi-Senior Accountant responsibilities will involve:
• Accountancy work for a portfolio of small business clients (c.£100k – 6mt/o), including owner-managed SME and family owned businesses
• Building client relationships and ensuring preparation and delivery of Year-End Accounts / Tax Returns, VAT Returns and Monthly & Quarterly Management Accounts
• Use of Xero and other online software packages on a daily basis
• Reviewing Accounts and Bookkeeping work prepared by junior staff

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:
• AAT Qualified / ACCA Part-Qualified or QBE
• Background within Accountancy Practice - 2 years min
• Accounts Preparation, Tax Computations and Business Services experience
• Experience of working with SME and Owner-Managed businesses
• Good working knowledge of Xero and possibly other online / cloud accounting software
