Accountant

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Nottingham  |  Type: Part-time

Our client is a small family run business with a turnover of around 1.5 million. Due to the retirement of their current accountant the Directors are seeking to recruit an experienced accountant who is happy to do a hands-on role handling all aspects of finance. Hours around 21-25.
Role will cover:
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records for the company
• Nominal, Purchase and Sales Ledger, Stock
• Cash Book
• Bank - control and monitoring of online accounts including foreign currency accounts
• Monthly reconciliations with accruals and prepayments
• Monthly Supplier Payments
• Quarterly Reporting to Directors
• Credit Control
• Cash Flow Management and Forecasting
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Assist in the preparation of statutory year-end accounts to an agreed timetable.
• Liaising with accountants.
• Assisting with monthly payroll - PAYE, Pension, HMRC
• Support with General Office Administration
This is a great role for an accountant/bookkeeper who is seeking a varied role and wants to work in small established business which offers security and the opportunity to grow within the role.
Hours can be split to suit the successful candidate but not WFH (working from home).
