Finance Manager
Our client is a fast growing distribution business based in Nottingham with a turnover of 6m growing quickly and projected to be 10m within the next 2 years. The owners are really keen to grow this business and expand into Europe.
They are seeking a strong finance person to set up and establish a finance function to provide accurate figures to the Directors.
Ideal role for an accountant who enjoys a hands-on role. The external accountants will assist the successful person as this is a newly created role and can be tailored around the successful candidates skill set. You will have preferably studied AAT and have at least 5 years accountancy experience.
The Role:
• Monitor and assist with the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as Sales Leger, Purchase Ledger and Daily banking’s.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns, EC Sales, and Intrastat reports
• Reconcile nominal ledger on monthly basis. Prepare and post journal entries on to system.
• Daily Bank reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels
• Monthly credit card reconciliations.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
• Implement and adhere to financial regulations and legislation required.
• Report to the owners of the business with planning & budgeting, cost analyses & overhead forecast reports as and when required.
Role can be full part or flexi time.
