Financial Analyst

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: Nottingham  |  Type: Permanent

Our client is a successful well established business with a turnover of around 12million they are seeking an experienced accountant/analyst to join the business in a newly created role due to growth. The role offers good progression and a great working environment. Reporting to the FD the role will be extremely varied and interesting.

Analyse the performance of the business and make recommendations for improvement

• Gather data and organise information
• Analyse results and generate reports
• Make recommendations and present findings to the Leadership Team
• Analyse the financial performance and prepare leadership reviews
• Analyse costs, market trends, working capital management and recommend business improvements
• Monthly accounts and Business Unit reporting
• Quarterly forecasting
• Direct annual product cost revisions of BOM’s and routings for all products.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required
• Work with SAP Project Manager to help deliver SAP go-live in 2023
• Capital spend reporting & forecasting - Involvement in year-end statutory and tax reporting

The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working across the business. You will have a recognized accounting qualification – ACCCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT although candidates who are very experienced QBE (qualified by experience will also be considered). Accountancy experience gained within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
You will have strong IT skills with SAP knowledge been highly advantageous. Strong MS Office skills. Good management, proactive and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
