Financial Controller

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Lincolnshire  |  Type: Permanent

Our client is a well established Lincolnshire business with a turnover of 14m and they are fast expanding. Due to retirement they are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team.

As an active member of a small financial and administrative team, this key strategic new role is best suited to an individual who relishes wide-ranging responsibilities and can help the company move forward into the next phase of its development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

To implement, regulate and supervise accurate and timely accounting records, controls, and report thereon, including management accounts and financial reports for the Board.
Monitor and manage bank balances and currency exposure.
Maintain cash and bank accounts, sales, purchase and nominal ledgers including month-end routines.
Maintain benefit-in-kind records and systems and ensure timely and accurate payments are made and obligations and regulatory requirements are met and returns filed.
Maintain full and proper VAT records and complete and file timely VAT returns
Carry out any Company Secretarial duties as required by the Company Secretary.
Ensure the security of all relevant records and property; take responsibility for the maintenance of the company’s property and leased assets.
Arrange annual commercial and vehicle insurances; process any insurance claims as may be required.
Play an important role in expanding/integrating new businesses and opportunities.


The successful candidate will be preferably a qualified accountant or working towards final stage of study for CIMA/ACA or ACCA. You will have strong IT and Excel skills. Sage knowledge helpful.
